Hi, we are Nathan and Jessica Gardner. Welcome to the website for our honestly homemade goods. The idea for Gardner's started about 5 years ago as we were searching for some kind of homemade gift that we could give our friends and family for birthdays or Christmas. After ruling out homemade icecream (doesn't ship too well!) we started experimenting with candles. The very first year people started encouraging us to sell them, which we promptly brushed off. After several years, a lot of testing and quite a bit of experimentation it finally hit us: "Why should we tell people what their candles need to smell like and what color they should be?" If someone wants an orange candle that smells like roses, why shouldn't they be able to buy it? From there the Pour Your Own Candle idea was born.

The journey to roasting and selling coffee was a completely different path. I have always enjoyed coffee however, I started getting tired of the charcoal grinds that many places sell as coffee beans. I was convinced that there had to be a better tasting coffee bean that didn't make me sick, so about four years ago I started to search. Very quickly I discovered that there was a whole world of people like me, people that loved truly fresh coffee, and decided to get it for themselves. For the first few years I roasted all of the coffee beans in a stovetop popcorn popper, because I wanted to be able to experience the sounds and smells of the coffee as it roasted, so that I knew how it should look and smell when it was ready to be cooled. It very quickly evolved from making the coffee for parties and giving it as gifts to people requesting orders, that's when I knew it had to be part of the business.

Our goal at Gardner's Honestly Homemade Goods is to bring you the highest quality candles you have ever smelled and freshest coffee you have ever tasted, all genuinely made right in our home, and to strive to please our Creator in all we do.
